Actor Julian Sands Goes Missing While Hiking in Californian Mountains

Julian Sands known for his roles in ‘A Room with a View’ and ‘Smallville’ has reportedly been missing for five days in the Southern California Mountains, where he was hiking.

The 65-year-old dedicated mountaineer was reported missing by his wife when he did not return home from hiking on Friday 13^th, on Mount Baldy in the San Gabriel Mountains. The mountains have reportedly been experiencing freezing temperatures and bad weather in the past few days.

San Bernardino County sheriff’s spokeswoman, Gloria Huerta said search and rescue team looked for Mr. Sands in the area, but had to suspend the ground search on Saturday because of trail conditions and landslide risks.

A statement said “…we continued to search by helicopter and drones when the weather permits.” The police said the search will continue when the weather improves and conditions were safer for rescue crews.

The authorities have reported that they are also looking for one other hiker in the same area where Mr. Sands was last seen.
