Captain America star, Chris Evans has reportedly married his girlfriend, Alba Baptista, in an intimate wedding ceremony over the weekend.
Evans, 42 and Baptista, 26, married on September 9, in an intimate ceremony at a private residence in Massachusetts, multiple outlets reports. Reports by Page Six says the couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends, including co-stars from the Marvel Superhero Franchise, such as Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner and Chris Hemsworth.
According to Page Six, they learnt from an insider that the ceremony was “locked down tight”, as guests signed NDAs and phones were restricted.
The couple first sparked romance rumors in November 2022 when they were spotted walking together in New York City, On Valentine’s this year, Evans shared photos of himself with Baptista on his Instagram account. However, the couple have been private about their relationship.
Last November, during an interview with People, Evans opened about wanting to get married. “That’s absolutely something I want – wife, kids, building a family,’ he told People.
“When you read about the most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships, the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.”
“So it’s also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important. I love the idea of tradition and ceremony, I had a lot of that in my life so the idea of creating that, I can’t think of anything better.”
