33-Year-Old Teacher Arrested for Getting Pregnant For Her Teenage Student

A 33-year-old Louisiana teacher has been arrested and charged for getting pregnant for her 17-year-old student.

The teacher, identified as Morgan Freche reportedly turned herself in and was arrested and charged with rape as well as sexual battery. Freche was arrested on Tuesday, October 3, following an investigation.

On September 24, allegations of Freche having become pregnant with the 17-year-old’s baby were reported, said Sheriff Daniel Edwards. Four days later, Freche resigned from her job in the Parish’s school system at Lorainger High School, without her name revealed.

She turned herself in on Tuesday and was charged with counts of third-degree rape and oral sexual battery, as well as four counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Speaking to the press about the incident, Sheriff Edwards said “While we cannot share specific details regarding the investigation, we can confirm that the allegations were dealt with promptly, and the investigation process has been rigorous and thorough.”

“This type of investigation is time-consuming and is being handled with great care. Under no circumstances will we be rushed for closure.”

The boy’s family attorney, George R, Tucker told the WDSU News that the family is “relieved, excited and encouraged.” He said “we are happy with the types of charges, we think maybe there should’ve been more charges because there were more events.”

The lawyer revealed that the family would be getting the student therapy. However, the family is turning to Loranger High School and Tangipahoa School System, who according to the family knew of the allegations before the incident was reported.
