NAFDAC Seizes Fake Wines Worth N41.2 Million in Nasarawa

The Nigerian Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has seized fake wines worth 41.2 million Naira in Nasarawa State.

According to the agency, the items were seized in Mararba Market, New Nyanya and Masaka areas of Nasarawa following a raid.

In a statement shared on X, NAFDAC said, “The operation targeted counterfeit and adulterated wines and spirits, leading to the seizure of products valued at over N41.2 million”

“NAFDAC’s investigation and Enforcement team is actively investigating the importers or manufacturers behind these counterfeit drinks”, Reads the statement. “NAFDAC urges consumers to remain vigilant and report suspicious products to the nearest NAFDAC office for immediate action.”
