Super Eagles Maintain 39th Position in Latest FIFA Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria remains in the 39^th position in the latest FIFA World ranking that was released on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

The Nigerian team are in sixth position behind the likes of Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia. The ranking comes after the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers where Nigeria bashed Benin Republic 3-0 and played a stalemate with Rwanda in Kigali.

Nigeria’s direct rival, Ghana is ranked 70^th while South African is ranked 59^th. Cote d’Ivoire is ranked 33^rd and Tunisia is ranked 36^th. Senegal and Egypt take the 21^st and 31^st position respectively.

In the Top 10 of the FIFA World Ranking, there are no changes. World Cup champions Argentina remains at number one, France are second, Spain third, England fourth and Brazil takes the fifth position.

Meanwhile, in sixth position Belgium, the Netherlands are seventh, Portugal is eight, Columbia is ninth and Italy takes 10^th position.
