The Nude man who sexually assaulted several women in Calgary earlier in August is believed to have committed several indecent acts, while exposing himself to unknown citizens says Calgary Police Service (CPS).
At around 12:55am, on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2024, three women were walking to a residence in the 900 block of Ridge Road S.W., along a pathway, when a nude, unknown man suddenly grabbed one of the women in a sexual nature. The woman was able to break free and contact police.
After further investigations into the incident, police now believe the same suspect is responsible for several other sexually motivated indecent acts that have occurred in the city’s southwest and downtown throughout the summer.
Between July 7 and Aug. 13, police say they received three additional reports in relation to indecent exposure and flashing incidents that they believe involves the same suspect.
“Victims have reported instances of walking along public pathways and being startled by a man who jumps out of the bushes while naked, and being flashed by a man while walking downtown”, says a police News Release.
“Investigators believe the suspect is often nude or partially clothed and prowls or hides in yards, alleys, and public green spaces during the late evening and very early morning hours.”
Police describes the suspect as male, with a light-medium build, in his mid-30 with black hair and a beard or facial stubble.
“Police are asking citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or behavior immediately by calling 9-1-1. If you think you have recorded the suspect on your security camera or cell phone, if you’ve encountered him, or have any tips regarding his identity, please contact police by calling 403-266-1234.”
