Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah warned that “there will be fire” if he were to speak out, following a touchline row with manager Jurgen Klopp during their 2-2 Premier League draw at West Ham.

Salah, who dropped after Liverpool’s midweek defeat at Everton, seemed to clash with Klopp as he prepared to come on as a 79th-minute substitute. Klopp declined to reveal the details of their exchange, however former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch commented on TNT Sports that the incident “does not look for the club.”

“Salah is a player who has started the majority of games for Liverpool and he will be fuming to be on the bench. But no one likes to see this between a manager and a key player”, said Crouch.

Salah seemed agitated at something Klopp said to him as he was about to be brought on, and seemed to want to prolong the altercation, before teammates Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez intervened and pulled him away.

When asked by reporters about the incident, Klopp, who is set to leave at the end of the season, did not want to dwell on it. He said “We spoke about it in the dressing room and that is done for me.” Asked if Salah was also ready to move on, Klopp added “That was my impression.”

Meanwhile, Salah did not appear happy when he walked by reporters as he declined interview requests and said “There will be Fire if I speak.”

The result of the match left Liverpool third on the table, ending their hopes for the Premier League title.
