North America has experienced a significant change in Daylight Saving Time as the clock shifts back to standard time.

On Sunday, November 5, 2023, the clock ‘falls back’ by one hour changing from 8:00 am to 7: 00 am. This marks the end of Daylight Saving Time (DST), returning to Standard Time (MST).

This means sunrise and sunset were about 1 hour early on Sunday, Nov. 5. Most Canadians have now turned back their clocks by one hour. According to reports by CityNews, the change means darkness will now arrive earlier in the evening, but it will be lighter in the morning except for in Yukon and most of Saskatchewan, where the clock reportedly stays put all year-round.

The time is expected to change 1 hour forward on March 10, 2024.
