The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has announced that Augustine Eguavoen will continue in his role as the manager of the Super Eagles and lead the team through the qualifying series of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Eguavoen, 58, had previously led the team on three occasions, guiding the Super Eagles to a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic and a goalless draw with Rwanda in the first two matches of their AFCON qualifying campaign earlier this month.
He will be assisted by Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa, and Tomaz Zorec. The technical crew will also oversee the Super Eagles B team as they embark on their qualifying campaign for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Meanwhile, NFF Executive Committee also approved the appointment of Coach Justin Madugu as the interim head coach of the Senior Women National Team, Super Falcons. Madugu takes over from Randy Waldrum, who resigned recently due to family reasons.
The Super Falcon’s will have their next major tournament at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, next summer.
