The Fablemans Wins People’s Choice Award at TIFF

Steven Spielberg’s The Fablemans wins the 2022 people’s choice awards at the Toronto International Film Festival which wrapped up its 47th edition.

The Fablemans is a 2022 American coming of age movie directed and co-produced by Steven Spielberg. It is a semi-autobiography based on Steven’s early life.

Spielberg in his statement, said he was glad he brought his film to Toronto. “The warm reception from everyone in Toronto made my first visit to TIFF so intimate and personal for me and my entire Fableman family”, he said.

The TIFF awards is annual award presented to honor distinguished achievements in film making. The people’s choice award, is chosen through online votes as a predictor of Academy Award success.

Set in post-World War II era Arizona, the film stars Gabriel LaBelle as Sammy Fableman, Michelle Williams as Sammy’s mother, Paul Dano as Sammy father, and other notable actors.
