American singer, songwriter and actress, Madonna @madonna has shared further updates on her health in a recent social media post.
On Sunday, Madonna shared a few photos of herself and her children, praising them for their support. She wrote “Love from family and friends is the best Medicine. One month out of the hospital and I can reflect. As a mother you can really get caught up in the needs of your children and the seemingly endless giving…”
“But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them that I had never seen before. It made all the difference. So did the love and support from my friends.”
In the same post she also showed her gratitude to her friend and longtime manager, Guy Oseary who gifted her a Polaroid of Keith Haring. She wrote “if you zoom into this picture, I am holding You will see a polaroid taken by Andy Warhol of Keith Haring wearing a jacket with Michael Jackson’s face painted on it…”
“…I cried when I opened the gift because I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many other who are also gone. Thank you @guyoseary for this gift! And thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me stay to finish doing my work.”
The 64-year-old was due to begin a seven-month world tour, but had to postpone it after being taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a serious bacterial infection.
In a previous post, earlier this month, Madonna had revealed that her current plan was to “reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe.”
