Lobsters pee out of their faces to attract a mate. In the Lobster world, large male Lobsters dominate a territory and females around vie for his attention. To get him to mate with them, the females wait outside his den, peeing in out of a specialized nozzle, towards his direction. The female urine contains pheromones that lets the male know she is ready to reproduce. Once she is allowed into the den, she “strips naked” by removing her exoskeleton.
