Meredith Shaw @meredithshaw is a Canadian radio and television personality, model and body positivity activist, style expert, and singer-songwriter.
Shaw is a talented and inspiring individual who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Her music resonates with many, and her passion for her craft is admirable. Shaw’s first professional break as a singer-songwriter came when Gordie Johnson of the band Big Sugar heard her singing and took her under his wing.
Shaw’s debut album, Place Called Happy, was released in 2011. A song on the album, “Girls Who Believe,” became the motivation for a community-based initiative called Girls Who Believe, led by Shaw.
The initiative, which began in 2012 was a workshop for girls aged 11 to 17 that ranged in topics from music and creativity to self-esteem.
Beyond her musical talents, she exudes confidence and charisma, making her a captivating presence. She has hosted several radio and television programs. Shaw has also graced the cover of magazines, including Dare Magazine, a Canadian plus-size fashion publication.
She uses the media to promote body positivity, promoting diversity in the fashion industry and emboldens females of all sizes and shapes to feel self-assured, powerful and attractive. In 2016, she began an inclusive style column for Canadian Living Magazine.
Most recently, on September 5, 2023, Shaw joined CityTV’s Breakfast Television as the new co-host, replacing Dins Pugliese.
