Jeremy Renner underwent surgery on Monday and is now in intensive care, still in critical but stable condition.
Renner had been in snow ploughing accident and was airlifted to the hospital, as confirmed by his representative. Report says Renner suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries, and is still in intensive care.
A statement by Publicist Samantha Mast said “Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”
Renner was reportedly clearing a road outside his home in Reno, Nevada, to get his family out after a snowstorm on New Year’s Eve. The plough, called a Snowcat, accidentally ran over one of his legs causing major blood loss.
TMZ reports that neighbors aided him at the scene, one of whom was a doctor. The outlet reports that the area was treated like an active crime scene, with police arriving to impound the Snowcat. The machine was said to have extensive safety features and should not have rolled over Renner.
