It is important that you give your facial hair as much attention as the hair on your head.

Whether you like it or not, a disheveled facial hair is noticeable from a mile away hence it is essential that you take the time to care for your beards. Beard care maintains and keep both your beard and skin healthy. A well groomed beard gives the professional, masculine and healthy vibe.

These few daily beard care routine tips will help you have a dapper looking beard.

Trimming: You may have to do this at night or in the morning if you are not a hurry. Take proper care in trimming your beards with a sharp scissors. Trim the edges or those protruding from your desired beard shape. Trim as much as you need daily or weekly, depending on how fast your hair grows.

Washing: Even though you are likely to wash your beard when you bathe, which you may do haphazardly anyway, it is important that you take the extra care in washing your beards daily. Use beard appropriate shampoo to wash your beard, and condition once in a while. Make sure to rinse the shampoo from your beard thoroughly to avoid residue that may lead to skin irritation. Afterwards, towel dry while paying attention to the areas water might pool. Always check the ingredient list on the shampoo before buying.

Apply Beard Oil: Beard oils are essential for the overall growth and health of your beards. They are great for conditioning and moisturizing both the skin and hair. Apply beard oil to your dry beard and let it sit for a few minutes. Use products that you are familiar with, and avoid changing them in order to avoid skin irritation or reaction.

Comb Gently: Using a wide toothed brush, comb through your beards gently and in different directions. Combs will help you keep your hair straightened and more organized. You may comb immediately after oiling to allow the oil to spread evenly into the hair. However, if your beard is short, then the best is to use a brush. You may also work a beard balm into your beard after combing.
