Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a Marvel Studios sequel directed by Ryan Coogler, continues to break records at the box office. The sequel has reportedly added an additional $50 million to the initial $303million accumulated, in domestic ticket sales.
The first part of the film was released in 2019 and made more than a billion at the global box office. Lots of expectations were on the release of the sequel, especially with the death of the main character, Chadwick Boseman.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has made a whopping $561 million worldwide. According to ETCanada, the sequel “can boast of the second-biggest domestic opening weekend of 2022”.
Other films that have had this record breaking feat in 2022 are “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, “The Batman”, “Maverick” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home”.
